Terms of Service
Welcome to SponsorMyStartup. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SponsorMyStartup website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account, listing a business, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What SponsorMyStartup is
SponsorMyStartup is a listing and discovery tool. It lets a small business publish a public wishlist of items it needs and lets that business's community find it. SponsorMyStartup is not a store, a marketplace, a payment processor, a bank, an escrow service, or a broker of any financial product.
2. We never hold funds
SponsorMyStartup does not collect, hold, escrow, process, or transfer money at any point. All transactions occur directly between a supporter and a business, using third-party retailers and third-party payment services chosen by the business. SponsorMyStartup is not a party to any of those transactions and has no visibility or control over them.
3. Not investment
Nothing on the Service is an investment. Support given through SponsorMyStartup is a gift, a direct purchase, or a tip. Supporters receive no equity, shares, ownership, returns, interest, dividends, or securities of any kind. Do not use the Service to solicit or offer any of these.
4. Payments and non-refundability
Because SponsorMyStartup is not a party to any transaction and never holds funds, SponsorMyStartup cannot and does not issue refunds. Gifts, purchases, and tips are non-refundable by the platform. Any refund, dispute, or delivery issue must be resolved directly with the retailer or payment provider used.
5. Your responsibilities
- Represent a real, legitimate business and provide accurate information.
- Only add wishlist items and payment links that you are authorized to use.
- Keep your account credentials secure and do not impersonate others.
- Comply with all applicable laws, and with our Community Guidelines.
6. Prohibited items
Wishlists are for legitimate business needs only. You may not list the following categories: Weapons, Controlled substances, Alcohol, Tobacco & nicotine, Illegal items, Adult content, Gambling, Stolen or counterfeit products. We may remove any content or page that violates this rule.
7. Account termination
We may suspend or terminate any account or remove any page that violates these Terms, is reported and found to be fraudulent, or creates risk for our community — with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. SponsorMyStartup does not endorse, verify, or guarantee any business, wishlist, item, price, or outcome. We do not guarantee that any business will receive support or that any gift will be delivered.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SponsorMyStartup and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of transactions between supporters and businesses, third-party retailers, or third-party payment providers.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
